I consider the word “cheapskate” an honor. I get called it by people who travel VERY differently than I do. I prefer to call myself “adventurously frugal.” After 45 years of world travel, I am starting to learn a few things about how to get a dollar to go a long way on surf trips. I love to meet other people who are equally adventurously frugal because they always seem to have the best stories and are often the most generous as well. I hope this blog will keep you entertained as well as informed about places, people, equipment, ideas and just random thoughts that come along as I continue to seek out places to sleep on the sand.
